Parliamentary consultations… Mikati the most fortunate?!

A month after the parliamentary elections, President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, set next Thursday as the date for holding the binding parliamentary consultations.

Although there is ambiguity in the situation about the person most likely to receive the expected government, and the direction that the MPs’ choices will take in the consultations on Thursday, the name of President Najib Mikati remains the most widely discussed, supported by Hezbollah and the Amal movement, in addition to a number of independent representatives, while the National Movement and the forces refuse his return. With the reservations of the “Representatives of Change”, as well as the “Phalange Party”, about participating in the government.

Will Lebanon accept a government storm that follows the storm of the demarcation file?
On the other hand, it is feared that the scenario of the elections for the presidency of the House of Representatives will be repeated in the government. Will the changers try to compensate with a new name for the moral loss they suffered?

According to the information, it seems that President Aoun’s delay in inviting the deputies to the binding consultations that he set next Thursday comes in response to the desire of Representative Gibran Bassil, who is trying hard to put conditions on the new president-designate before naming him… Will Bassil’s pressure succeed, or will the country’s interest outweigh, even for once?!
