Panama announced that since the start of the Russian attack on Ukraine on the twenty-fourth of last February, three ships flying the flag of Panama were injured in a Russian missile attack targeting them in the Black Sea, without causing any human loss.

The Panamanian government stated that the attack led to the sinking of one of the ships, while the other two ships were still floating on the surface of the water, although they were damaged.

It was reported that at least ten other ships flying the flag of Panama are still stranded in the Black Sea, due to restrictions imposed by the Russian Navy which prevent ships from leaving the area.
