Saudi Arabia’s hostility to Lebanon will deprive the country from cash flow worth $2 billion

A delegation from the economic bodies visited the Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi to brief him about the economic and industrial losses in particular, as well as the humanitarian damages that will result from Saudi Arabia’s hostility to Lebanon.

The economic bodies said that the Gulf countries have the Patriarch with all respect and appreciation and his words would be heard by them.

Al-Rahi affirmed that he will endeavor with the Kingdom and the Gulf states and that he has started putting his efforts to find a solution to the crisis. But he informed the delegation that there is no progress so far at the political level.

The export ban imposed by Saudi Arabia on Lebanon, will impact the country severely. There is great fear among the Lebanese about preventing financial transfers from the Gulf countries to Lebanon, although the process is proceeding at its normal pace and there is no decision regarding this so far.
