The Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a remarkable statement, welcoming the statement issued yesterday by Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, in which he declared his government’s commitment to normalizing relations between Lebanon and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and shedding light on the need to stop all activities emanating from Lebanon that threaten the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and stability.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed Mikati’s statement’s positive points and hoped that this would assist Lebanon in reclaiming its Arab and international role and position.

The ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom’s desire for Lebanon to be secure and peaceful, as well as for the Lebanese people to enjoy stability, security, development, and prosperity in their homeland.
