The Cabinet convened today, where it discussed vital matters such as electricity, the file of licenses given to open new specializations for some universities, and item 16 which is related to draft law that aims at amending the procedures of criminal trials, but the Cabinet did not agree on this item, so it was returned to the Parliament.

In this context, sources indicated that intensive government sessions will be held starting from February 15. The Council of Ministers also agreed to allocate more sessions rather than the budget sessions to discuss important files such as electricity and those related to environment and garbage crisis.​

The Head of the General Labor Union Bechara Asmar called for the total abolition of exclusive agencies, which means lifting monopoly and control of markets and goods according to the agents’ mood.
