The fate of school year is yet unknown

Since the start of the academic year, the public schools have been either closed or opening half time, or some schools are canceled.

Teachers are facing the worst economic crisis, while receiving dishonest promises from the authority, as promises and their fulfillment are hostage to the policies followed by the government, which is not convening in the first place. Teachers are now unable to continue, as they are hostages to the high prices and the rise in fuel prices, while the salaries have lost more than 90% percent of its value.

In parallel with the reckless disregard for the rightful demands of the teachers, and the procrastination of the Minister of Education in granting them their rights, the latter issued a controversial decision asking the teachers to intensify the lessons before and after the Christmas holidays. Contract teachers heading towards announcing a strike after the Christmas and New Year holidays?

Perhaps Lebanon’s politicians live on another planet, so they are hurting citizen severely and brazenly ask him to complete his duties without securing his minimum rights.
