The Lebanese community in Ukraine: No one is answering

The young man, Muhammad, left Lebanon to escape the financial and economic crisis in order to search for a better life opportunity. He chose Ukraine to complete his education and invest in it. Today, with the start of the large-scale Russian military operation, he stands bewildered by his unknown fate.

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs contented itself with asking its citizens to take precautions, and whoever wishes to leave can do so at his personal expense. All that the Lebanese state did was what the embassy announced on February 19 that it had contacted the airline to cancel the PCR examination for those who wish to leave. At the time, about 150 Lebanese, who were financially able, left Ukraine, especially since the ticket price is 500 dollars, and some do not have this amount to escape, especially students who suffer from financial hardship.

Regarding communication with the Lebanese embassy, some young people from the Lebanese community in Ukraine confirm that several numbers they received are related to the embassy, but no one answered the phone.

The Lebanese leave their country, in search of security and stability, but those who went to Ukraine, apparently were not lucky, so their problems and worries increased.
