The Lebanese salary is worthless

Officially, the minimum wage is 675,000 pounds, equivalent to $30.
Practically, the salaries of employees in both public and private sectors, have become no less than two million Lebanese pounds, equivalent to $97.
This increase did not come by chance, but rather as a result of social assistance that the Ministry of Labor worked on, in coordination with employers and the General Labor Union for a year.
It provides for assistance of 1,325 thousand pounds cut per month to the private sector, which will start to be paid on the first of April, and other aid to the public sector, provided that it is not less than 1.5 million and not more than 3 million, in addition to a transportation allowance of 65 thousand pounds. If we calculate all the submissions, the monthly salary will be about 3 million and 500 thousand pounds.
However, this salary is of no value.
The introduction to the Lebanese constitution says the following: Lebanon is a founding and active member of the United Nations, and is bound by its covenants and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The state embodies these principles in all rights and fields without exception.
If we refere to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we find that Articles 25 and 26 stress the right of every person to food, clothing, housing, medical care and education.
With the calculation of these simple rights plus the electricity bill and the price of one gasoline plate only, it is better to stand a minute of silence for the sportsmanship of the Lebanese, and for his patience in this ordeal whose end is unknown.
