The spoiled son-in-law’s demands hinder cabinet formation

The second composition meeting between President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati lasted no more than a quarter of an hour yesterday, during which Aoun presented Mikati with 3 options: A thirtieth government that includes politicians, or floating the current government, or making amendments to it provided that the amendments achieve the criteria of balance. Hence, it can be said that the play of government formation has begun, and we will be with a date of successive meetings between the two presidents over the coming weeks without necessarily leading to the formation of a government!

Between convulsions, rejection and denial, a month will pass, and the next until the presidential elections come.. As for the obstacles and problems, they may apparently be related to the Ministry of Energy, the distribution of ministerial portfolios, or even the criteria for distribution and ministerial but the truth is the opposite, as it is closely linked to the second president of the republic, the spoiled son-in-law Bassil, who wants, in any way, to benefit from the last remaining quarter of his reign.

As for President Mikati, it is difficult for him to surrender to Bassil, especially in his demands.
Miqati has a long mind, and we are not used to seeing him withdraw or give up.

Mikati will not surrender, and Bassil will not be bored.. The road is not long, but the answer is definitely near.
