The World Bank calls on Lebanon to take urgent measures

In a new negative development in the file of the financial crisis, the Regional Director of the Mashreq Department at the World Bank, Saroj Kumar Gah, confirmed in the report of the Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank Group, that Lebanon has lost valuable time and many opportunities to adopt the path of reforms in its economic and financial system. He added that the costs of inaction are enormous, not only for the daily lives of citizens, but also for the future of the Lebanese people. Kumar Jah continues that two and a half years after the crisis, Lebanon has not implemented a comprehensive program of reform and recovery, and this delay threatens the systematic failure of state institutions and exposes the fragile social peace to further pressures.

On this subject, the economist, Professor Pierre El Khoury, joined us.
