Tourist sectors return to life this summer

Tourism has always been the main pillar of the Lebanese economy, and throughout history, Lebanon was considered a tourist destination for a large number of tourists, especially the Gulf.

In 2010, Lebanon exports the growth rate of the tourism sector compared to many countries, with a return of 8 billion dollars

In 2015, Lebanon ranked third in the Middle East in terms of international tourism revenues, as it amounted to about 6.85 billion dollars, according to the annual report published by the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Despite the decline in the activity of the tourism sector in Lebanon, the revenues of tourism in Lebanon increased to 7.6 billion dollars in 2017, registering an increase of 8% from 7 billion dollars in 2016.

In parallel, Lebanon recorded the highest 62 -year progress among 151 countries in the world in the number of tourists in 2017,
With the start of the economic crisis, the collapse of the sectors, the port’s explosion, and the subsequent security instability, in addition to the spread of the Corona pandemic, tourism has fallen to very low ratios.

As for this summer, it may constitute a positive turn in the number of tourists, which are estimated at more than one million tourists. It is likely that it is likely to enter Lebanon, starting in the month of June, and on a daily basis, approximately 12,000 people
Among them are expatriates and Egyptian -Jordanian and Jordanian tourists.
So it is expected that the summer of Lebanon will be full and restore this country on the tourist map
