Will expatriate ballot boxes be “zeroed”, as happened in 2018 elections?

Practically, the expatriate voting process began in its first round, but after its completion, the fear remains that what happened in 2018 elections will be repeated, when more than 450 abroad ballot boxes were emptied.
As for the reason for not counting the votes directly from polling stations abroad to prevent them from being tampered with during their trip to Lebanon, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections, Adeeb Mahfoud, points out that this issue may affect the mood of local voters.
So, everything is expected, and nothing deters the authority from repeating the scenario of the last cycle and ‘zeroing” the boxes in the event that the results inside it are contrary to its interests.
