What happened to Mar Mikhael’s agreement?

Political coldness fluctuates in the relationship between Hezbollah and Aounist movement, against the background of the movement’s leader, Gebran Bassil, not keeping pace with the party’s position in support of the candidacy of the leader of Marada movement, former MP Suleiman Franjieh, for the presidency.

Bassil described Mar Mikhael’s paper as faltering, calling for amending and developing the agreement… the position supported by former President Michel Aoun under the pretext that the current practice is no longer suitable to keep pace with the current political stage.

On the other hand, it is possible to stop at the provocative stances that Bassil pursues towards his partner in “Mar Mikhael’s Agreement ”, which are very similar to those adopted by former President Michel Aoun in 1989, betting on him on a firm Christian leadership, by rebelling against the new political reality, after the end of Aoun’s presidential term.

And the question remains.. Will Mar Mikhael’s agreement burn? Or will the two allies manage to organize the difference from the alliance’s location, albeit with a new version?
