After floods, Sydney warned of spider epidemic

Sydney may be overwhelmed by the most venomous spiders in the world after torrential rains,  the Australian Reptile Garden has said,” warning that killer spiders may take refuge in homes while escaping from the floods.”

Heavy rains caused massive flooding in New South Wales state, and parts of northwestern Sydney suburbs are still submerged.

While residents felt comfortable with the clarity of the weather on Wednesday after days of rain, they received “urgent warning” to prepare for the influx of some of the most deadly spiders, which are endemic to Sydney.

Local Channel 9 News said that residents of New South Wales had received warnings of a “spider epidemic”
