A report issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency stated that Iran had informed the agency that it is about to install more advanced centrifuges of the type IR 2m at the Natanz uranium enrichment facility.
“Iran has indicated that it plans to install two additional series of 174 IR-2m centrifuges to enrich uranium-235 to a purity of five percent,” the IAEA said in a report to member states
The Agency has reported on February 1 s that Iran had operated a second series of IR-2m centrifuges at the Natanz fuel enrichment plant and was installing two more.
The nuclear agreement that Iran concluded with world powers stipulates that “Tehran can use the first-generation centrifuges, IR-1 exclusively, to enrich uranium,” according to “Reuters”.
