Pesident Joe Biden confirmed his rejection that “political violence becomes the rule in the United States”, according to previously broadcast paragraphs from a speech he is supposed to give today to commemorate the attack on the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.

In his speech, Biden warned that “we have to decide today which nation we will be. Will we be a nation that accepts political violence becoming the norm?”

“We cannot afford to become a nation of this kind,” he said, according to AFP.
