On behalf of the United States of America, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken extended his “best” wishes to the Lebanese people on their independence day.

He affirmed that the United States will continue to stand by the people of Lebanon during these difficult days and support their hopes for a better future, noting in a statement that his country recognizes the rich culture and perseverance of the Lebanese people, who have faced and overcome many challenges over the past 78 years.
