China and Russia have submitted technical queries to Japan questioning the country’s plan to release radioactive water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the sea, China’s foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The ministry also said that if Japan is sincere in addressing concerns of its neighbors, Japan should immediately halt the discharge plan and discuss all possible safe disposal options.
