Eighth plane carrying Saudi aid to Gaza lands in Egypt

Saudi Arabia continued to deliver aid to the devastated Gaza Strip with the eighth and ninth planes loaded with relief landing in Egypt’s al-Arish on Friday ahead of their delivery to the coastal enclave.

The planes, flown out by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), were carrying six ambulances out of 20 that will be sent to Gaza.

The aid is part of a popular donation campaign launched by Saudi Arabia to aid the Palestinian people in Gaza. The campaign was ordered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s historic role in standing with the Palestinians throughout various crises and plights.

Palestine Red Crescent Society director general Marwan Jilani expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership and people for their noble humanitarian role and efforts to support the Palestinian people.

The KSrelief team underscored Saudi Arabia’s determination to ensure that the aid is delivered to those in need in Gaza to help ease their suffering.
