Emirati president and Canadian foreign minister discuss need to protect civilians in Gaza

During their meeting in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly engaged in discussions about enhancing bilateral relations and collaborating across multiple sectors to strengthen cooperation between their respective countries.
They also talked about regional and international developments of mutual interest, most notably the urgent need to protect Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, the Emirates News Agency reported. They also reiterated the importance of bolstering the humanitarian response amid the worsening situation there.

Also present at the meeting were Emirati Interior Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and other officials and invited guests.
