Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his concerns to Emirati counterpart Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan about Israel resuming attacks on Gaza after the collapse of a week-long truce, terming it as “very negative,” according to Erdogan’s office on Friday.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the COP28 summit in Dubai, where Erdogan also discussed Gaza with the prime ministers of Japan and Italy, as well as his Uzbekistani counterpart.
Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s efforts for a lasting ceasefire and humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza, urging collective action from the Muslim world to halt Israel’s “massacre.”
