A Senior European Union Official explained that the Group is organizing an informal meeting with all nuclear deal parties and USA, noting that : “USA affirmed that it would accept an invitation from the European Union to meet with the participants in the agreement.”

However, the Official, is his statements to Reuters, under one condition: anonymity, said, “No time frame has been set for this meeting. It depends on developments.”

He also confirmed that “The cornerstone consists now of fully implementing the agreement by both Washington and Tehran again.”

In addition, he stressed that the fact of saving the nuclear deal is somehow imaginary, and that consultations will take time before scheduling a date for the meeting.

Earlier today, Peter Stano, a spokesman for the EU, according to what the Al Arabiya correspondent reported, confirmed that the latter seeks on one hand, to a serious respect of the deal by Iran, and to withdraw the US sanctions in full. On another hand, Tehran must fully respect the terms of the nuclear deal in exchange for the withdrawal of sanctions. “We are conducting intensive consultations in order to hold the joint Committee meeting,” Stano added.

It is noteworthy that the Foreign Ministers of UK, France, Germany and the United States confirmed yesterday that they ban Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, and expressed concern about the recent steps taken by Tehran, especially regarding raising the production of enriched Uranium rate to 20%.

From his side, the European Council President, Charles Michel, called for the full implementation of the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action: “After my discussion with President Hassan Rouhani, I affirm that the European Union supports the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action”, he tweeted, stressing that “It is necessary at such stage to apply diplomacy, accompanied by positive steps.”

Such topic was brought to the table at a time when all eyes are set on the US administration, and what President Joe Biden will explicitly declare regarding his relation with Tehran and the Nuclear Deal from which his predecessor withdrew in 2018, according to Al Arabiya.
