European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel are planning a visit to Japan in May, according to the Kyodo news agency, citing numerous diplomatic sources.

According to Kyodo, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida may meet with Von der Leyen and Michel on May 12.
