Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, 84, was admitted to Milan’s San Raffaele hospital overnight, a source familiar with the matter reported on Tuesday.
The four-time premier was last discharged from the same hospital on April 30 after he underwent 24 days of tests.
In early April, Berlusconi had been hospitalized for follow-up tests after contracting COVID-19 last September.
He had previously been admitted to hospital for routine check-ups in March.
The former PM, who underwent major heart surgery in 2016 and has also survived prostate cancer, had also been hospitalized in January because of a heart problem.
Berlusconi was slated to attend a court hearing on Thursday in a judicial case in which he is involved. That same hearing, where a verdict is expected, has been deferred many times already due to the media magnate being in hospital.
