France adds Bahrain, Colombia, Costa Rica and Uruguay to list of COVID risk countries

France added Bahrain, Uruguay, Costa Rica and Colombia to its list of countries deemed as COVID-19 high risk zones, which means that people arriving from those countries will have to undergo protocol measures such as quarantining upon arrival.

The French PM’s department also noted on Friday that quarantine measures for travelers from those countries would become effective from May 16, as the country aims to ensure that its third-wave of the coronavirus recedes.

In April, France had put Argentina, Brazil, India, Chile and South Africa on its list of COVID high-risk countries, requiring people who arrive from those countries to undergo a 10-day quarantine on arrival in France.
