French Government Speaker Gabriel Attal said on Wednesday that France would impose self- isolation measures for people who come from the UK because of the presence in the country of COVID-19 variants.
Attal said in a news briefing after a cabinet meeting that “France will establish compulsory isolation for people from the UK” that details are given “for the next hour.”
Germany’s public health institute declared Britain and Northern Ireland a virus variant region last week and required anyone entering the country from the United Kingdom to quarantine for two weeks on arrival.
Attal said the COVID-19 situation was still improving significantly in France.
