According to a German Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Germany’s ambassador to Turkey was invited to the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Monday to discuss steps taken by German authorities against the PKK Kurdish militant organization in Germany.

“I can confirm that there was a meeting at the Turkish Foreign Ministry the day before yesterday,” the spokeswoman said at a routine government press conference in Berlin, adding that such interactions were typical between Germany and Turkey.
