Iran’s stockpile of 60 percent enriched uranium has grown to 25 kilograms, according to state media on Friday.
“So far, we have produced 25 kilograms of 60 percent uranium,” said Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, according to the media.
The UN nuclear watchdog said in April that Tehran had begun the process of enriching uranium to 60 percent fissile purity at an above-ground nuclear plant in Natanz, confirming earlier statements by Iranian officials.
Iran announced in June that it had produced 6.5 kg of uranium enriched to up to 60% purity.
