Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated on Friday that Iran “never had hope” of recovering a major power nuclear accord that the US abandoned under then-President Donald Trump.

“We place our expectations in the east, west, north, and south of our nation and never have hope in Vienna and New York,” Raisi said in a televised address honoring the 43rd anniversary of Iran’s revolution in 1979.
