The commander of the northern region of the Israeli army, Amir Baram, claimed that “Hezbollah activists were spotted in the border fence area,” saying that “in the end, they and their dispatchers, their sect and the village that allows them to be used as a military base for terrorism will pay the price.”
Baram added, “In the war, we will destroy all the infrastructure on this military line of contact, and no stone will remain. This will be the fate of every facility in the villages or cities used by this terrorist army.”
Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem confirmed yesterday that the party is ready to take measures “including force” against Israeli gas exploration operations in the disputed maritime areas, as soon as the Lebanese government announces Israel’s violation of Lebanon’s maritime borders.
In an interview with Reuters, Qassem said: “When the Lebanese state says that the Israelis are assaulting our waters and our oil, we are ready to do our part in pressure and deterrence and use appropriate means, including force, in order to prevent “Israel” from attacking our waters and oil.
