Jordan .. State Security Court announces the end of its investigations into the “fitna” case

The Military Public Prosecutor of the State Security Court in Jordan has concluded its investigations with 18 defendants in the case of “the discord that the kingdom was exposed to recently,” according to the Jordanian News Agency, “Petra”, citing an unnamed source, on Wednesday.

He added that “the case will be referred to the court after completing the final stages of the investigation and following the legal requirements.”

The Public Prosecution issued a statement, on Tuesday, in which the Public Prosecutor of the State Security Court, Military Judge Hazem Al-Majali said that the Public Prosecution “completed the investigations into the recent events that the kingdom was exposed to recently. A clear threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom. ”

Al-Majali did not disclose the charges that will be attributed to the defendants, as they are in the final stages of “the legal procedure for referring them to the State Security Court.”

On April 4, the Jordanian authorities indicated that the former Crown Prince, Prince Hamzah (41 years), and others were involved in “sinful plans” aimed at “destabilizing Jordan’s security and stability.”

At the time, about 20 people were arrested, including the former chief of the royal court, Bassem Awad Allah and Sharif Hassan bin Zaid.
