Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz invited the presidents of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates to the Arab League summit in Jeddah on Friday.
The invitation was extended in writing by King Salman to Kuwait’s Emir, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al Sabah.
The message was handed to Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber Al Sabah by Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khaled during a meeting with the royal in Kuwait.
King Salman also sent a written message to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan that included the invitation.
The message was received by UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed during a meeting in Abu Dhabi with Saudi Ambassador to the UAE Turki Aldakhil.
The officials also discussed the strong fraternal relations that bind Saudi Arabia and the UAE and efforts to bolster them to achieve prosperity and progress for both their countries and peoples.
