The Kremlin warned on Wednesday that the globe is on the cusp of a massive food catastrophe, blaming “illegal limitations” placed on Russia by Western countries and Ukrainian government policies.

Russia has taken major areas of Ukraine’s shoreline and is blockading its ports more than three months after invading the country, but it is blaming the paucity of food imports on Western sanctions and Kyiv itself.
