Kremlin rejects Armenian PM’s suggestion that Russia is quitting South Caucasus

The Kremlin dismissed on Tuesday Armenia’s prime minister’s claim that Russia had failed to protect Armenia’s security during its stalemate with neighboring Azerbaijan and was scaling back its participation in the area.

Dmitry Peskov, Russia’s spokesman, told reporters that the Kremlin disagreed with Nikol Pashinyan’s statements and that Russia intended to continue playing an important role in South Caucasus stabilization.
