Kuwait summons the Lebanese Chargé d’Affairs following Kordahi’s statements

On Wednesday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had summoned the Lebanese Chargé d’Affairs to protest against the statements of the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, regarding the Yemeni crisis.

A statement by the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, in a statement today, the State of Kuwait’s denunciation and strong rejection of the media statements issued by the Lebanese Minister of Information towards the two sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in which the two brotherly countries were accused of false accusations that contradict the great and appreciated role they play in Support Yemen and its people.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stated that it had summoned the Lebanese Chargé d’Affairs, Hadi Hashem, and handed him an official protest note that included “the State of Kuwait’s complete rejection of these statements, which contradict reality, have nothing to do with the truth, and contradict the simplest rules of interaction between countries.”
