Libya’s Global Air has planned a flight from Tripoli to Benghazi for Tuesday afternoon, signifying the resumption of domestic air travel after the country’s political upheaval shut down the country’s airspace for more than two weeks.

The UN has recommended the reopening of Libya’s skies in accordance with a 2020 ceasefire agreement between the nation’s main warring factions to allow unrestricted flight within the country.
