The United States Geological Survey reported a 7.2 magnitude earthquake on Sunday that occurred 40 km (25 miles) west of the town of Port-Olry in Vanuatu.
According to USGS, the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Pacific Tsunami Warning Center: “Tsunami waves exceeding 0.3 to 1 meters above the tide level are possible for various coasts of Vanuatu.”
