On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu charged that the UN was failing to act quickly enough to address the rapidly worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, claiming that its aid workers had not yet reached a “safe zone” set aside for Palestinian refugees.
According to a Hebrew-language transcript of the meeting released by his office, Netanyahu told the visiting prime ministers of Spain and Belgium, “I have yet to see the effort that I would like to see on the part of the UN and international agencies.”
