Norway and Denmark have agreed to provide an extra 9,000 rounds of artillery to Ukraine, according to a statement issued by the Norwegian Ministry of Defence on Thursday.
Norway will supply the shells, while Denmark will supply the fuses and propellant charges, according to the Norwegian government.
According to the government, Norway will also provide 7,000 rounds from its own supply, which have already been shipped to Ukraine.
The artillery rounds can be used in several types of artillery, including the M109 that Norway has previously donated, the ministry said.
The ammunition will be replaced through acquisition of new munitions, it added.
