Oman’s embassy in Beirut urged Omani citizens to leave Lebanon immediately “due to the events taking place in the region” in a post from the embassy on social media platform X on Friday.
On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia had advised its nationals in Lebanon to leave the country immediately.
Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah group, which has a massive arsenal of long-range rockets, has traded fire with Israel along the border on a near-daily basis since the conflict in Gaza erupted nearly two weeks ago.
Hezbollah hinted it might join the war if Israel seeks to annihilate Hamas, which is also backed by Iran.
