Parties to Iran nuclear deal to meet on Sunday, says European Union

The European Union announced on Saturday that parties discussing a revival of the Iran nuclear deal will convene in Vienna on Sunday.

Since April, Iran and six world powers have been discussing in Vienna to figure out what steps Washington and Tehran should do. In 2018, the US withdrew from the agreement, under which Iran agreed to limit its nuclear program in exchange for the removal of numerous international sanctions against it.

The formal meeting on Sunday comes more than a week after this round of discussions begun, implying that the talks would be postponed.

Over the course of the week, officials have signaled that crucial concerns remain unresolved.
