On Wednesday, Indonesia and Vanuatu experienced significant earthquakes, as reported by the US Geological Survey. A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck the Halmahera region of Indonesia, reaching a depth of 119.2 kilometers (74.06 miles), according to USGS data.
Earlier an earthquake of magnitude 6.7 hit Vanuatu, a South Pacific Ocean nation.
The earthquake, with its epicenter in Port-Olry, struck the country in early morning, USGS said.
Its depth was recorded at nearly 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
There were no reports of casualties from both countries.
