According to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with European Council President Charles Michel on Ukraine, during which Putin encouraged the European Union to put pressure on Kyiv authorities to uphold humanitarian law.

The Kremlin stated in a statement that humanitarian elements of the Ukrainian crisis had been covered, and that Putin had kept Michel up to speed on Russia’s conversations with Ukrainian representatives.
