Qatar may ban unvaccinated players from 2022 World Cup

According to the Athletic reports, Qatar wants all footballers coming into the country to take part in the World Cup 2022 to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Gulf country has already revealed that anyone attending the tournament in November next year will have to be doubled jabbed, and is now taking the same position with players.

Qatar expects to benefit from economic contributions of around $20 billion as a result of hosting the games, in particular in the tourism and construction sectors.

The tournament will be held from 21 November to 18 December next year.
