Russia considers Turkey’s possible military operation in Syria unwise

According to Russia’s Syria ambassador Alexander Lavrentyev, a hypothetical military intervention by Turkey in Syria would be foolish since it would intensify and destabilize the situation.

According to TASS, Lavrentyev also stated that Moscow no longer considers Geneva to be an appropriate location for Syrian-Syrian discussions.

On Wednesday, the Russian ambassador was in the Kazakh city of Nur-Sultan for talks with Turkey, Iran, and the Syrian government and rebels.
