According to the RIA news agency, Russian police have removed Belarusian opposition lawmaker Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya from their wanted list at the request of Belarusian authorities.

Tsikhanouskaya went into exile last year after Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko retaliated against demonstrators who accused him of manipulating his re-election poll in 2020, which Tsikhanouskaya’s supporters claim she won.

Belarus and Russia are strong allies.
