Russia has taken control of the west bank of the Bakhmutka River, threatening a vital Ukrainian supply line in its bid to retake control of the destroyed eastern city of Bakhmut, according to the British defence ministry on Friday.
“Russia has made more advances and is now extremely likely to have pushed into the town center… Ukraine’s critical 0506 supply route to the west of the town is likely severely endangered,” the ministry stated in a daily post on Twitter.
