Russia announced today that it is very concerned about the escalation of tension that resulted in 3 deaths in Nagorno-Karabakh, the separatist region of Azerbaijan backed by Armenia, calling for “restraint”, according to Agence France-Presse.
“We are very concerned about the escalation of tensions and call on the parties to show restraint and respect the ceasefire,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, noting that Moscow was “in close contact with Baku and Yerevan in order to stabilize the situation on the ground.”
