Russian billionaire Mikhail Fridman stated on Tuesday that the conflict in Ukraine is a tragedy that must end.

Fridman, who was born in western Ukraine, said he and his long-term boyfriend, Pyotr Aven, were stunned to learn on Monday that they had been sanctioned by the European Union.
