In a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for de-escalation of the crisis in Ukraine and told him that the Kingdom is willing to mediate to resolve the conflict with Russia, according to state news agency SPA.
“They discussed the crisis in Ukraine, and the Crown Prince reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for everything that reduces the severity of the crisis’ escalation, its readiness to mediate between all parties, and its support for all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis politically,” according to SPA.
The Crown Prince informed Zelenskyy that Saudi Arabia will extend for three months, subject to extension, the visas of Ukrainian visitors, tourists, and residents in the Kingdom that will expire during this period, and that the Kingdom’s government is concerned about their comfort and safety.
